The Story of Old West Village
Old West Village Volume 1 captures the essence of the old west. Old West Village is region neutral, so it looks right at home in Nevada, Arizona or other new territories where cowboys, outlaws, marshals, gamblers and other folk of the great west come to play.

Old West Village Series
Meshbox Design's Village series of models are extremely popular with artists and animators.

  • Themed World. This set is themed towards a generic view of the old west, allowing easy modification for any specific region of the united states during the Old West period.

The Models
The series includes the following models...

  • Old West Village National Bank and Assay Office. Old West National Bank and Assay Office is where you go for the gold - to weigh it, bank it, and turn it into cash. This building includes a desk for an Assay officer, a banker's cage and office, and a separate room where the safe is kept. Old West National Bank is region neutral, so it looks right at home in Nevada, Arizona or other new territories where cowboys, outlaws, marshals, gamblers and other folk of the great west come to play.
  • Old West Train Station. Old West Train Station is bringing east to west - the herald of the end of the old west era as settlers and city folk can ride the rail out west. Old West Train Station has a complete platform, with side ramp for freight and stairs. An inside waiting area includes benches and spitoons for tobacco users. The train station master's office is to one side, and links with a ticket counter - with windows both outside and inside.
  • Old West Corral and Livery Stable. Old West Corral and Livery Stable are a critical piece of an old west town's economy. An open corral is available for cheap and easy stabling, while inside is a main barn area where horses can be rubbed down, fed, curried and stabled. Two doored areas are available for an office and storage. Above in a loft, is a large stack of hay for feeding the horses.
  • Old West Bath House. Its where every fellow new in town goes to relax and clean up before a night on the town. The bath house has a separate card room with back entrance/exit, the entry with manager's desk and waiting area, and of course, a bath room with side tables (with sipping whiskey!) and coat rack. Spitoons are available in both waiting rooms.
  • Old West Sheriff's Office and Jail. The Sheriff's Office also doubles as the town jail. This building features a traditional old west façade, and a comfortable front room where the sheriff mans his desk and cleans and iron. On the table, you can find a traditional oil lamp and a pair of hand cuffs. Behind, is a simple jail cell for local miscreants, drunks, varmints and sheep ranchers.
  • Old West Hotel. The Old West Hotel is suitable for God fearing city folk and city slickers that come arrive by train. A tidy front room and reception area is available, with a manager's office in the back. Rooms are accessible by an outside stair, with several complete rooms, with desks and beds, are awaiting guests.
  • Old West General Store. The Old West General Store is the reason why many folk come into town - finding goods you cant make on the ranch! Enter through the big city glass accented door to this fine emporium of goods. Much shelf space is left to populate with your own goods, but you will already find lamps, laterns, glasses and saddles. There is a back room for storage, and an open window area for browsing. Goods are loaded in through a back door.
  • Old West Saloon. The Old West Saloon is the bonus model in Old West Village Volume 1. The main room has tables for cards or just plain drinking. A piano sits against one wall to provide some entertainment. Follow the stairs around side the building and ascend to a second floor, where two rooms await - renting by the night or by the hour.
